My Favorite Planners | Planner Palooza Day 2

It’s DAY 2 of my week-long planner series. Today I’m sharing my favorite planners that I use to keep my life on track.

There are hundreds of planners on the market. I’ve tried TONS of them, but I always come back to Erin Condren. In my opinion, her planners are simply the best.

Over the years her company has expanded to include so many different options and customizations that there is bound to be a planner for everyone.

Yes, they are a bit pricey, but the quality is unbeatable. Also, knowing I will use it every day for an entire year helps me to justify the purchase. I put aside a little money each month, so I can get a new one every May when they launch (thank you Dave Ramsey sinking funds lol).

That being said, the purpose of a planner is to keep you organized and productive. What I love may not be your jam. Just like the way I plan may seem ridiculous to the minimal planner, and that’s okay.

The key is to find a system that works for YOU! As for me? I have a two-planner system that keeps my life on track and helps me stay as productive as possible.

My number one planner is the Life Planner from Erin Condren. I have been using this planner since 2014 (way back when she only offered one style and no customization). I have continued to use this planner year after year as it has evolved and changed to fit the customer’s needs.

Currently, you can buy the planner in either a colorful or a neutral version. You can also pick from a vertical, horizontal, or hourly layout. To further customize it, you can pick between a January-December calendar year setup or an academic calendar setup that runs July-June.

The version that I use is the hourly in the July-June setup. Since I’m a teacher, my brain operates on an academic calendar. I bounce back and forth between the neutral (my current choice) and colorful (what I’m switching to come July).

I use the Life Planner as my main planner. It is where I keep EVERYTHING! It’s where I can see the big picture- my long-term plans, my monthly overview, and my weekly events all go in this planner.

I also use the notes pages in the front and pack of the planner to keep track of anything and everything important to our family or home. I’ll be going into more detail on this and showing you a look inside my life planner later in the week!

The daily planner is a newer item to Erin Condren. I personally have only been using this since January, but I am HOOKED!

The daily planner is part of the petite planner folio system. First, you buy the leather-bound folio and then fill it with up to 4 petite planners. I love this system because you can pick and choose the petite planners that fit your lifestyle. They offer a daily planner, monthly planner, wellness journal, meal planner, plain notebooks, journals and so much more.

I like this system because it is great for on-the-go planning. The books are small enough to toss in your purse individually or you can take them all in the folio.

I use the daily planner for my day-to-day routines, tasks, and to-do lists. This is the planner that I look at multiple times a day. It practically travels around the house with me.

It took me a few months to figure out the perfect way to use it, but I finally have it mastered for what works best for me. I will be showing you a look inside my day to day planner later in the week as well and exactly how I use it to stay on track.

I hope this gives you a good overview of my favorite planners that I use and love.
