Teacher Appreciation Week is quickly approaching so it’s time to start thinking about how you can say thank you to those great men and women in your kid’s lives. This year more than ever teachers have been pushed to the max. Navigating the worlds of in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning at the same time is no easy feat. I’m a teacher so I speak from experience.
I’ve put together a list of 10 teacher appreciation gift ideas under $20. Most of these can even be created for under $10. All of them are things I would personally love to receive. In all honestly, though, a nice card with a handwritten note is just as good as any gift.
I’m also throwing in all of the printables that I attached to the gifts for FREE! All you have to do is subscribe to my email list here and they will be sent directly to your inbox!

Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas

Thanks for helping me GROW

A plant is always a great gift. I personally love orchids…thankfully my husband knows how to keep them alive. This is a quick and easy last-minute gift that requires no prep.
Thanks for Making Learning Fun, Now it’s Time to Relax in the Sun!

This is the perfect gift with summer right around the corner. Put together a little package with everything your child’s teacher might need for a day by the pool or at the beach. Some suggestions of what you could include are a towel, sunscreen, expensive glasses, and a good book. You could even put it all in a cute beach bag if you want to go all out!
Thank you for Bee-ing a Great Teacher

This Burt’s Bees gift set which is under $10 would make the perfect thank you gift. I love all of their products and think this is such a cute idea. If you want to spend a little more you could put together a basket with some of the full-sized products instead.
Just a NOTE to Say You’re a Great Teacher

While I’d steer clear of boring school supplies that most schools already provide, a nice notebook and some fun pens are items most teachers would love. I loved all of the teacher-themed notebooks from Erin Condren, but if you want to keep it under $10 you could go with one of these options.
Don’t forget about some good ink pens. My top three favorites are these by Tul, these and these colorful ones.
Sip Sip Hooray…Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!

This could be a little taboo for some schools/teachers depending on your relationship with them, but this may be my favorite gift on the list! (Maybe because I’m pregnant and wine-deprived lol). Again, you can tailor the cost of this gift to the bottle of wine you want to buy, and you could include one of these cute teacher-themed glasses too!
Thanks for Being a TOE-tally Awesome Teacher

This would be a cute gift idea for the women teachers in your child’s life. Again, you can customize this gift to be as inexpensive or elaborate as you would like. Include some nail polish, toe separators, files, and lotion. It’s the perfect gift now that summer is approaching.
You’re Nacho Average Teacher

Chips and queso??? Yes, please! This Mexican-themed gift basket would be perfect to say gracias to any teacher. Just gather together a bag of chips and all the toppings for nachos…salsa, queso, jalapenos, and anything else you want to throw in.
Thanks for Keeping Me SHARP This Year

Another fun school supply that teachers love is Sharpie markers. Fill a cute tumbler with a pack of Sharpie markers, attach the fun tag and you’ve got a colorful and practical gift.
I DONUT Know What I’d Do Without a Teacher Like You

If there is one thing I know about teachers it’s that we love to eat! Stop and grab some donuts before heading to school and attach the cute tag and you’re good to go with a yummy treat your child’s teacher will surely love.
I was MINT to be in your class

The final gift idea is themed around mint products. Take a quick trip to your local convenient store or Target and grab all the mint-flavored items you can find. Get creative- gum, candy, mint chocolate, mint tea or mint-flavored lip gloss are just a few suggestions of what you could include in this gift.
I hope you find some of these teacher appreciation gift ideas helpful! Remember the most important thing is that you just take a minute to say THANK YOU for all the hard work your child’s teacher is doing. Don’t forget to join my email list to receive all 10 gift tags for FREE!
