Spring is in the air! Here in Louisiana, it feels more like summer, but either way, we couldn’t be more excited. The days are longer, and the weather is warmer which means lots of family fun and more time outdoors. Today I’m sharing some awesome toys, games, and activities that are perfect for nonstop Springtime fun!
Blue’s Clues & You!
Now if this doesn’t bring back some amazing childhood memories, I don’t know what does. As a kid, I LOVED the original Blue’s Clues and now it’s back, better than ever!
Blue’s Clues & You! features the same lovable pup Blue and her new caregiver, Josh. With the help of the viewers, they figure out the answer to a question by finding three clues that they track in Josh’s Handy Dany Notebook!
The show is great for empowering preschool kids, challenging their thinking skills, and building self-esteem in toddlers.
If your kids love Blue’s Clues & You! as much as mine do, you’ve got to check out these two great gift ideas. Hoppy Easter Blue Board Book is the cutest story where your child can help to discover what Blue wants to do on Easter Day.
Another adorable gift idea is this Blue’s Clues & You! Peek-A-Boo Plush. All three of our younger kids love this interactive and soft plush toy. When you squeeze her belly she barks and plays Peek-A-Boo! It doesn’t get much cuter than that!
As a parent and a teacher, I love to give my kids toys and games that are both fun and educational. Both of these items have content-based with an early-childhood curriculum that your kids (and you) are sure to love! These would be great Easter basket gifts!
I don’t know about you, but in the spring and summer months, I like to get my kids outside as much as possible. I’m always looking for fun activities and ways to entertain them.
Grayson was like a kid on Christmas morning when I pulled these Roller Derby skates out of the box! He immediately put them on and tried using them in the house. He even slept with one roller skate next to his bed! (Only one because I didn’t want him up in the middle of the night practicing!)
Although he’s is only 4, Grayson is already getting the hang of them. The two larger wheels in the back provide a low center of gravity which means easier balance and less falling, which makes them perfect for beginners. The best part is they adjust up to 4 sizes so he will be able to wear them for a long time!
Use the code SPRING15 to receive 15% off your own pair of skates until June 30.
Both my kids and I LOVE music, specifically Disney music! Whether we’re cooking dinner, riding in the car, or playing outside, I usually have some type of music playing. Lately, our go-to has been the Disney Hits playlist which you can access through any streaming service you use. “Alexa, play Disney Hits!”
The station includes family-friendly music from all your kid’s favorite Disney movies like Encanto, Frozen, Coco, and much more! It even mixes in songs from those old classics that I grew up loving! It’s a win-win for everyone. Plus, I think it’s impossible to be in a bad mood when Disney music is playing.
There is nothing better than a good old fashion game night. With a teenager and three younger kids, I’m always on the hunt for family games that are fun for all ages. Soundiculous checks off all the boxes and keeps the entire family laughing.
It’s similar to Charades, only instead of gestures you have to make sounds. Each sound that your team guesses correctly earns you points. Add this to your list for your next family game night!
Little Live Pets
It’s no secret we love animals, but currently, we are at our max when it comes to mouths to feed. Little Live Pets is the perfect solution to the “can we get a pet?” question.
Sunny the Bright Light Chamelion does it all. She lights up, has over 30 sounds and reactions, goes into party mode sings, and even repeats what you say back to her. Audrey has been LOVING this cute little creature.
I’ve always wanted to be the mom who leaves cute notes in my kids’ lunch boxes. Lunch Notes From Me!® Zany Facts & Zingers make this so easy! The book contains 101 tear-off notes filled with fun facts and jokes to make your kids smile. Another great option is the Holiday Notes From Me!® Easter Facts & Funnies, which are perfect for the Easter season.
While my kids are still a little too young for these, I’m tucking them away for the day when they can read. I can’t wait to pull these lunch notes out to send with them to school, summer camp, or even picnics in the backyard.
I hope you like some of these Springtime fun ideas. Let me know in the comments below some ways you like to entertain your kids this time of year.
