In this Louisiana heat, I live in maxi dresses during the spring and summer. That is especially true now that I am 6 months pregnant. A maxi is cute, cool, and comfy…all necessities while teaching during the day and chasing my kids around outside after work.
Today I’m rounding up my 10 favorite maternity maxi dresses. All of these dresses would work for postpartum and many of them are actually normal dresses that anyone could wear…I just sized up in them to fit the bump.

Hill House
The first dress on my list is my new favorite- this Hill House dress. They just recently restocked in my size and I was able to snag it. I got it in over the weekend and fell in love the minute I put it on. It is so comfortable and very flattering…totally worth the hype! I even got the matching one for Audrey. This is the dress I plan to wear for newborn pictures when our final peanut arrives this summer. (Note- if they are sold out of the color/style you want, be sure to check back because they restock often.).
Pink Blush
The next two dresses I’m sharing are from Pink Blush. I got this mauve lace overlay dress when I was pregnant with Audrey. This is what I wore for her newborn pictures and it was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it for a photoshoot or baby shower.

I also love this floral sleeveless maternity dress for everyday wear. It is light and airy and so comfortable. I have it in a different pattern that is currently not available, but the fit is perfect. This one also works great once the bump is gone.
Target
The next two are from Targe and neither of them is marketed as maternity. The first one is this smocked tiered tank dress that I recently saw on Instagram and had to have. It is so comfortable and perfect for this Lousiana heat.
I have this flowy tiered dress in two patterns because I love it so much. I wore the white floral one on Easter Sunday and got so many compliments. It looks cute dressed up or as a casual everyday dress too.

Amazon
Next up are some Amazon finds! I got this strapless palm print one to wear when we go to the beach next month, and it is so soft and lightweight! This color-blocked sleeveless maxi is my favorite for everyday wear. It is a little long (I am only 5’2) so I either wear a small wedge or knot it up with some sandals.
Beaufort Bonnet Company
Unfortunately, this Beaufort Bonnet maxi is no longer in stock, but you can often find them on websites like Posh Mark or Mercari. I’m hoping they restock in a different print soon because it is so comfortable for lounging around the house on a lazy Sunday. This is another dress that I have a matching one for Audrey.

Shein Maternity Dresses
The final two dresses are from Shein. This was my first time ordering from the company, but I figured I’d give it a shot since the prices are so great. I got this floral dress which will be great when I’m nursing and this denim one. Full disclosure- they have not come in yet, but based off of the reviews I have high hopes! I’ll be sure to update y’all on Instagram so make sure you are following me there.
I hope you like some of these maternity maxi dresses if you are in the market for some comfy clothes this summer. Whether you are pregnant, recently had a baby, or just love a cute maxi, one of these is bound to work for you!
If you are looking for some comfy maternity leggings (another staple in my opinion,) be sure to check out this post. Thanks so much for reading.
