April Favorites

Another month at home has come and gone. Part of me feels like it flew by, while another part of me thinks it drug on forever. April is one of my favorite months because it’s my birthday month! I’m sad to see it go, but looking forward to hopefully regaining a little bit of normalcy in the month of May. Here are ten of my favorite things from this past month:

1. Little Tikes Swing

The weather here in South Louisiana has been beautiful, and we have been spending a ton of time outside while at home this past month. This baby swing has been a favorite for several years.

Grayson used it as a baby, and now Audrey is using it and loves it just as much. She swings while Grayson runs around the yard and mommy reads a book.

2. The Overdue Life of Amy Byler

This was the book I read in the month of April, and it was so good! It was funny, lighthearted and the perfect read to kick off the summer months. It’s about a mom whose husband abandoned her and their two kids three years ago. He shows up out of the blue wanting to spend time with the kids, so Amy takes a much needed vacay to New York City where she finds herself in more ways than one. As summer draws to an end, she has to choose between the new life she’s created or the life she left behind. If you are looking for a fun and easy read, I highly recommend this book!

3. Dig it Up!

Thanks to Blippi, Grayson has been obsessed with dinosaurs lately. Jason ordered him this dinosaur egg kit a few weeks back, and it was a huge hit with our boy! You soak the eggs in water and then use a chisel to carve away the clay and uncover the different dinosaurs. The kit comes with 12 eggs and a chart so you can see which dinosaurs you get.

4. Beaufort Bonnet Company Shorts

These shorts from the Beaufort Bonnet Company are our go to for Grayson. They come in a ton of different colors and patterns, are super comfortable with an elastic waist and aren’t too long on his short legs. The quality is great as well which is a must when you have a wild little boy.

5. Bunch O Balloons

These water balloons are our favorite. If you’ve never tried these you are missing out. They come in groups of 35 balloons that are attached to one nozzle. You hook it up to your hose and all 35 balloons fill at once in less than a minute. The best part is that when they are full they fall off the tubes into a bucket and tie themselves. Truly a genius invention!

6. Makeup Eraser

This is a product I have been wanting to try for years, and I finally purchased it this month. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after one use I was hooked. It really does take off all of your makeup with only water! You toss it in the wash when it gets dirty and can reuse it over and over.

7. Wear Me Pro Sunglasses

I was sent two pairs of these sunglasses a few months back to try out and review. These are so so good! They are polarized, super cute on and are as good of quality as some of my more expensive sunnies. I’ve been wearing them almost everyday when I workout, and I love them.

8. Llama Llama Red Pajama

One of the kids’ favorite books is Llama Llama Red Pajama. We read it over and over and over again. This talking mama llama is the cutest thing. It reads the entire story out loud so this real life mama gets a break!

9. Little Fires Everywhere

The show that we loved this month was Little Fires Everywhere. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington are two of my favorite actresses, so I was really excited to start this show. We binge watched it in less than a week because it was so good. Even my husband liked it. I’m really hoping for a season 2! I highly recommend checking it out on Hulu if you are looking for a new show to watch.

10. Sit Me Up Floor Seat

We have been having this Fisher Price Sit Me Up Floor Seat since Grayson was little. This is another must have baby product. We started using it with Audrey around 6 months when she was big enough to have good head control. It is the perfect size seat that we can move around the house when needed. She sits on the kitchen counter when I’m cooking, on the table when we are eating dinner or in my bathroom when I’m getting ready.
